Goals:

  • Demonstrate understanding of integral or differential calculus.
  • Have fun.
  • Perhaps involve an area of interest (aeronautics, orthopedics, electronics, business, signal processing, etc.).

Evidences Required:

  • Physical 3D model.
    • Your model must be able to fit completely inside a box whose volume does not exceed 30 cubic feet.
    • Your model must also be able to be readily transported into our classroom.
  • Written Analysis.
    • A multi page analysis will be required to show
      • the construction process of your model
      • the role of calculus in your model

Major Concerns:

  • How does your project involve calculus?
  • How will you keep yourself and others safe?

If you are not able to involve calculus or keep people safe, then you need to adjust or change your project.
